Volunteer Opportunities

This opportunity sheet is updated as needed and is available for Beacon of Hope Church members only. The purpose of this is to provide information for any available ministry opportunity within the church so that members are able to exercise their gifts and devote their time and resources to serve others for the glory of God.

1. Kid's church assistants

We are in need of ~3 additional women or teens to rotate serving as assistants for Kid's Church. This non-teaching, no-prep role would require serving during the sermon approximately every 3-4 weeks. It is a great fit for those who are not already serving in the nursery but are looking for a way to get involved with sharing hte gospel with our little ones (ages 4-7).

2. SUNDAY Nursery Workers

Volunteers must be: Female, at least 15 years of age, and must pass a background check. Nursery workers will work either a Sunday school shift or Worship service shift in one of the rooms: baby room (0-2 years old) or toddler room (2-3 years old).

3. Male Ushers

Volunteer ushers are responsible for passing out the bulletins for Sunday morning service, greeting visitors and for collections. Usher volunteers must meet the requirements for a deacon, as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8, Titus 1:7.

4. Music Ministry

For those called and with a heart to use their musical gifts as a ministry to congregational worship.
