Have You Been Baptized?

One of our requirements for membership at Beacon of Hope is baptism by immersion. We don’t do this because we are part of a Baptist denomination, but because it is biblical (Matthew 28:19). We believe being baptized by immersion to be an act of obedience that publicly declares your faith.

If you are interested in being baptized by immersion, please contact Lauren Nelson by email (lnelson@beaconforthecity.org), and we will follow up personally to talk about baptism with you.

We will host a class in early August (date TBA) to go over the biblical reasons for baptism by immersion and to answer any questions. In the class, we will also help you to put together a personal testimony about your salvation. 

Schedule

Location: Tony Schmidt Regional Park, 3500 Lake Johanna Blvd, Arden Hills, MN 55112

Service & baptisms: 10:30am-12pm

— Please bring your food to the shelter by 10:15 a.m.

— The outdoor service will be held down at the beach and begin at 10:30 a.m., so once you drop off your food please head to the beach. Don't forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on!

— The baptism service will take place immediately following the Worship Service.

— Following the baptism service everyone will head up to the shelter for the All Church Picnic.

Registration & Food Sign Ups

If you would like to volunteer to bring food or drinks, you must register and select what you will bring. Details about what food and drinks are needed can be found on Church Center and can be selected when registering for the event via Church Center. Click here to register on Church Center
