Beacon of Hope - Bible Quizzing

What is Bible quizzing?

Bible quizzing is a competitive activity, usually for children and teens, that centers on memorizing specific Bible verses. Participants spend time learning and reciting designated passages from the Bible. During quiz meets, individuals or teams are asked to quote these verses from memory, often word-for-word.

How it works:

  • Participants are given a list of Bible verses to memorize.

  • At quiz meets, a verse will be prompted, and competitors race to recite these verses accurately from memory.

What we're memorizing:

  • 1 & 2 Corinthians

  • 1, 2, & 3 John

  • Jude

Goals:

  • To encourage the memorization of Scripture.

  • To help young people internalize and remember God’s Word.

  • To foster spiritual growth through focused engagement with the Bible.

Ages:

6th-12th graders
